3D printed figure with your own face
Who wouldn’t want to be a superhero with a self-satisfied 3D figure? With 3D model technology, it’s possible not just to print a custom-made action figure in 3D – you can also get it with your own face. The process is simple. You take some good pictures from the front and side (if you have long hair, it may be advantageous to put it up) and then send it to us or your favourite 3D model face designer.
Can I get a 3D figure?
Yes, you certainly can. You can have designed and 3D printed your own self-satisfied figure without having to show up physically and be 3D scanned. You can then have it printed on a Stratasys Polyjet 3D printer for well over a million kroner as we did for the Netflix project in full colour, or you can print on smaller and cheaper printers with standard resin and then just let your imagination run wild and find the paint gear, or enjoy the beautiful grey facade and the details in our high-quality resin Ameralabs TGM-7, which we recommend for all 3D custom figures. At 3D Actions, you have all the options to print your personal 3D action figure with your own face – it’s only your imagination that sets the limits.
How do you design 3D printed action figures?
The design process for 3D action figures takes place in a 3D design program. There are countless of them, some are open source others cost money – see this guide for the best 3D design programs for 3D printing. If you don’t feel up to the challenge to become a 3D designer yourself, we have great expertise and work together with many skilled 3D designers who can help you with your 3D figure.
Whether it’s a 3D figure for a wedding cake, a Father’s Day gift, employee of the month, or something completely different you’re after. We can design and 3D print exactly what you wish for in many different styles and expressions.
What does a 3D printed action figure cost?
The price for a 3D printed action figure starts at DKK 189 incl. VAT. Then we print in the strongest resin Ameralabs TGM-7 and up to 10 cm. This requires that you have your own 3D model for your action figure. It is also possible for us to do 3D mass production of figures, but much more on that in another blog post – there are 10,000 cast 3D bobbleheads on the way, which started with a 3D printed prototype, which as in the case with Netflix, will be used for photo and video promotion.

How do you design a 3D printed action figure with movable joints?
Just like the classic action figures you know today. There is the possibility to make many different versions of joints and assemblies, but for this project, we agreed from the start to go for a completely classic look.
