The Typical 3D Printing Process
With all 3D printing, a specific process is typically followed. In the above illustration, you can conveniently see how it’s done.
Now that you have a general understanding, we can discuss how we 3D printed a PlayStation 5!

Step 1: How to 3D design a PlayStation 5

To design a 1:1 (completely accurate) PlayStation 5, you need a skilled 3D designer due to its highly sophisticated design. Also, one must ensure the height and width are accurate on all parts, like the ports.
Most 3D modelling software, like Blender, Inventor, Fusion 360, and Solidworks, are sufficient for development. Some of these programmes offer more advanced tools, useful for developing this type of model.
Step 2: 3D Printing Process of a PlayStation 5

Once the model is designed, it’s time to send it to the printer! We had to choose a reliable material, and we went with the always dependable filament: PLA. The 3D printer then needs its time.

We waited and waited, and finally, it finished printing. The new PS5 is large, so it takes time, and boy, was it worth it.
Now it’s printed and looks almost perfect!

Step 3: Refining Your 3D Printed PlayStation 5

Like all projects, this one also requires some final touches before it’s perfect! We turned to sandpaper, hobby knives, and a lot of elbow grease.
Several hours and an extended process lay ahead, but it resulted in an incredible product that looks great!
Don’t take our word for it; see for yourself here!
Step 4: The Result

This project was one of the more challenging ones, but nothing is too complex for us at 3D Actions!
